It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberta Jean Sumpter of Madera, California, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joe L. Sumpter; and her parents, Melvin Rader and Sarah Elizabeth Roberts. She is survived by: her son Gary Sumpter (Debra Sumpter); her granddaughter Shannon Gambril (Clayton Gambril); her great grandchild Cade (Cash Gambril); and her brother William Roberts (Kathy Roberts). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
