She was predeceased by: her son Chris Cameron Carter; and her brother H. Vincent Carter. She is survived by: her husband Ray L. Carter; her children, Col. Scott K. Carter MD (Patricia Carter MD) of Pleasanton, CA and Kelly C. Cummings (Bradley Cummings MDiv); her grandchildren, Jared C. Cummings (Daesha), Clayton S. Carter (Desirie), Jonathan D. Cummings (Nina), Benjamin K. Carter, Whitney A. Carter and Taylor J. Cummings; and her great grandchildren, Ray S. Carter, Ezekiel D. Carter, Harvey B. Cummings and Jayla J. Cummings. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
