He is survived by: his grandmother Lydia Garcia-Zarate; his cousin Cesar Alvarez-Zarate; his great-grandparents, Benito and Tomasa Perez; his parents, Juan Zarate, Jr. and Griselda Gastelum-Zarate; his siblings, Oscar and Anissa; his grandparents, Jose Vidal, Olivia Gastelum and Juan Zarate, Sr.; his niece Novalee Zarate; his close friend Crystal Gutierrez; and his daughters, Alize and Neveah. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, only 10 people will be allowed in the Jay Chapel Building at one time.
