“Joe & my dad were great friends. They rode their motorcycles together when they had a chance. Dad told me how they met: We had just moved to Madera. It was summer of 1959. Dad was riding his motorcycle around town, looking for other riders. He rode past the post office and saw a bike parked outside. He parked, went in, and saw Joe. He went up to him and asked if that was his bike parked outside. Joe said yes. Dad asked if he'd like to go riding sometime. A 49 year friendship was formed!”
