He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Grange and Joseph Grange; and his brother Jim Melcher. He is survived by: his stepfather George Melcher; his wife Sharon (McNally); his children, Sandra Ackerman (Joseph), Julie Simpson (James) and Christian (Kristie); and his grandchildren, Kaycie Simpson, Adam Ackerman, Jamie Simpson, Todd Ackerman, Sara Ackerman and Spencer Grange.
