She was predeceased by: her husband Santos Ruiz; her siblings, Eva Brambila, Eduvijes Palomera, Emerita Sanchez and Fernando Sanchez; her children-in-law, Aureliano Avila and Maria E. Ruiz; and her great grandchild Mariah Madrigal.
She is survived by: her children, Victor Ruiz of Madera and Bertha Avila Ruiz of Madera; her sisters, Elena Sanchez of Mexico and Eloisa Sanchez of Mexico; and also, Rodolfo (Maria), Maria, Luz (Joe Martinez) of Henderson, Estela (Hugo Madrigal) of Madera and Emma (Victor Gonzalez) of Guanajuato. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; first born Alma Leticia Ruiz, 24 great-grandchildren; first born Santos Fernando Medina and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
