He was predeceased by: his daughter Elaine; and his siblings, Augustine, Basilio, John, Alice and Tony.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Pico-Diaz; his son Edward Diaz (Naoemi) of Elk Grove; his siblings, Stephen Dias (Bertha) of Modesto, Catalina Fernandez of Madera, Nancy Jimenez of Turlock and Delphine Bergara (Andres) of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Mia Diaz, Ava Diaz and Michael Soto (Monique); and his great grandchildren, Michel Diaz and Mavrik Diaz.
