It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carlos Avelar in Mad River, California, who passed away on November 14, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Antonio Avelar and Hercilia Piloto-Avelar; his wife Maria Avelar; his children, Filomena Jarvis, Manuela Henry, Armando Avelar and Lisa Avelar; his sister Lucilia Fraga; and his brother-in-law Celina. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 21, 2020 at 12 p. m. Paul's Chapel and following grave site burial at St. Mary's Cemetery at 1 p. m. Because of COVID-19 for immediate family members; we will be offering Zoom to be able to say your goodbyes.
