He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Dixon Jr. and Orelia Pruiet; his stepfather Charles Pruiet; and his cousin Orelia Jolet (Mama Orelia). He is survived by: his brother Charles Pruiet, Jr. (Pat); his daughters, Lynn McKay (Thomas), Antoinette Walker (Duane) and Tanya Dixon; his grandchildren, Deidre Parker (Darin), DaShawna Berkley (Arameus), Lawrence Hughes, Trenton Matthews, Duane Walker II and Ariyan Walker; his nephew Clinton Pruiet (Vanessa); his brother-in-law Richard Cook (Ruby); and his close friend Erma Shields. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
