“I'm sad to hear of Gil's passing. I last talked to him in July, 2023. We had many long phone conversations over the years following his retirement. He was a long time friend and colleague at Cal Poly. My wife and I stayed at his house in Los Osos several times after leaving California in 1999. He and Dorla will be sorely missed.
