He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Strickler and Dolores Sainsevain Strickler Turek; his grandparents, Jose Manual Higuera (Maria Antonia Redondo) and Moncada Expedition; his great-great-grandparent Don Antonio Maria Sunol (Maria Dolores Bernal); his children, Jerry Strickler (Linda) of San Jose and Janet Strickler of Union City; his grandchildren, Sonya Strickler and Ryan Strickler; and his great grandchildren, Brighton Strickler, Pacey Strickler and Parker Strickler.

He donated land to Mission Santa Clara to help build St. Joseph's Church in downtown San Jose.
