The memory of Nana Tanahashi of Los Angeles, California, who passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Nana may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nana touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tamotsu Tanahashi; and her parents, Masao Hisamoto and Hideyo Hisamoto. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Kenji Tanahashi and Brian Tanahashi (Fely); and her grandchildren, Megan Tanahashi, Leilani Tanahashi of Tennessee and Kollin Tanahashi. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple (505 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90013).
