Lynnette Jenkins Obituary
Lynnette Jenkins, 61, of Los Angeles, California, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born January 16, 1962, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, one of five daughters of the late Robert and Marlene Wormack Jenkins.
In 1992 Lynnette moved from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Lynnette was a manager of actors and writers in the film and television industry. In addition to acting in television and films (including working on the film "Silence of the Lambs"), she worked as a Music Supervisor for the Bernie Mac Show, Executive Produced the soundtrack to the hit TV show "Girlfriends", and was an executive at Avatar Records, Inc. in Los Angeles.
Lynnette's hobby and passion were Saint Bernard dogs. She was the owner of four Saints over the years, including Baron, Abigail, Grace, and Thurston, who was recognized as a "Champion" by the AKC after winning many competitions across the United States. She was an active, long-time member of the St. Bernard Club of San Diego.
She is survived by her long-time life partner Larry Robinson of Los Angeles, California, and her four sisters, Sheila Thompson (Brian) of Greensburg, Tammy Jenkins of Monroeville, Deidra Jenkins of Penn Hills, and Robin Hale (Paul) of Irwin; three nieces, Amanda Rone (Lynnette's Goddaughter), Patriece Thompson and Alexandra Hale; two great nieces, Aliya and Asha Hall; and special friends, Milo Jeffers and Nola Daniels.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Lynnette at Harrison-Ross Mortuary on Saturday, August 19th, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Bernard Club of San Diego, 1284 Summit Place Escondido, CA 92025, Inc.; Zelle to [email protected] or the American Diabetes Association.
