He is survived by: his spouse Yohko; his children, Dennis, Denise, Dan (Kazu) and Colleen Chu (Winston); his grandchildren, Ashley (John), Jordan (Jaqlynne), Shawn, Brandon and Shane (Jasmin); his great grandchildren, Christopher, Kaden and Keilani; and his brothers, Umio Takehara and Ken Hattori (Sherri). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews.
