He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Everett and Dorothy Janet Collins (Doyle); his children, Patrick (Megan), Christine and Gordon Jr. (Katie); his daughter-in-law Mercedes; his wife Louise; his son Daniel; and his granddaughter Catherine Marie. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, and eight great-granchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Main Street Singers of Los Altos High School.
