“I’m shocked and heartsick to learn of my good friend Joy’s passing. Our friendship goes back to the 1970s when we first met and became close as military wives living on the base in Hawaii. Both of us having three boys close in age gave us a lot in common. After so many years apart I’m grateful we got to speak at length via phone in fall of 2023. The years melted away as we caught up on our families and discussed the Maui Fire disaster. Joy loved Hawaii and Maui. I miss you Joy.”
