He was predeceased by: his parents, Michal Barber and Mary Barber; his wife Esther Barber; and his siblings, Nick, Tony, Charles, Johnny, Florence and Lucy.

He is survived by: his stepson Joseph; and his children, Joe O'Brien (Natalie), Linda Almond and Debbie Linville (Paul). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held when it is safe to do so after the pandemic has subsided.
