She was predeceased by: her parents, Gust Hantula and Mary Hantula; and her husband Bill. She is survived by: her children, Bill (Heather), Patti (Ricardo) and Kirsten (Steffan); and her grandsons, Trent and Shane. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Glide Programs (San Francisco) of which Joan was an ardent supporter, especially the Free Meals Program.
