She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Kearnes; her son Stephen Kearnes; her siblings, Lavina Grace Tibbles, Alvin Johnson and Henry G. Johnson, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Jacquelyn Johnson.

She is survived by: her sister Betty Cleaveland; her daughter Karen Rushton; her granddaughters, Teresa Sobrino (Ronald Sobrino) and Jennifer Church (Adam Church); and her great grandchildren, Jessica Sobrino, Jasmine Sobrino and Abigail Church. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
