He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his children, Sjana Doohen (Alec), David Pickles (Sandra), Craig Pickles (Lisa), Keith Pickles (Julie), Kevin Pickles (Jill), Chris Pickles (Angela) and Michele Bassi (Dean). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was honored with several awards including Volunteer of the Year for RSVP and Volunteer of the Year for Community Partners in Caring.
