He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Soto and Maria Soto; his sister Catalina Skolnik (John); and his brothers-in-law, Paul R. Childs and Frank Herrera.

He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Gonzalez (Abraham) and Angela Smith (Jeremi); and his siblings, Esther T. Childs, Vela S. Herrera, Ruben Soto (Rebecca), Genie and Theresa Soto. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
