It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Purkey of Lompoc, California, born in Barnstable, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Converse and Charlotte Converse; her husband Jimmie Purkey; her daughter Charlotte Wright; her stepson Kent Purkey; and her children, James Wright (Georgia) of Henderson, NV and Susan Sanchez (Joe) of San Diego, CA.
She is survived by: her brother Clark Converse (Rene) of Dade City, FL; and her stepchildren, Jimmie C. Purkey (Ida) of Williston, ND, Brad Purkey of Wichita, KS and Julie Leonard of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
