He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Sawyer MD and Elizabeth Morgan Sawyer; his wife Lillian; and his sisters, Elizabeth Ettaki and Jean Biggs.
He is survived by: his children, David B Sawyer (John), John M Sawyer and Diane M Dietrich (Sawyer); his grandchildren, Jacqueline Krallman, Amanda Paige, Matthew Sawyer, Ryan Krallman, John Krallman, Jessica Sawyer and Christina Sawyer; and his brother Ted Sawyer of Columbus Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
