He is survived by: his children, Ricky Vander Brug (Ashleigh) of Garden Grove, Ryan Vander Brug of Wilmington and Hollie Vander Brug of Garden Grove; his grandchildren, Emma and Wyatt Vander Brug; his mother Bette Jean Vander Brug (Stansberry); and his siblings, Brian van der Brug (Jill Connelly) of West Hills and Jill Vander Brug of Brea.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Salvation Army Recovery Program in Canoga Park, California.
