He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam and Edith; his sisters, Doris and Verna; and his daughter Janette (Bob).

He is survived by: his wife Donna L. Helwig; his brother Harvey (Myrna); and his children, Donna M., Karen (Chuck), Laurie (Mark) and Jeff. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
