She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvador Benavides, Sr. and Maria of Jesus Benavides; her sisters, Virginia Santa Cruz, Isabel Medel and Linda Benavides Galindo; her nephew Vincent Michael Maahs, Sr.; and her great-niece Alexandria Young.
She is survived by: her child Development Counsel; her godmother Tia; her siblings, Margaret Benavides, Sylvia Garcia (Joe), Yolanda Benavides and Salvador Benavides, Jr. (Irma); and her brothers-in-law, Anthony Santa Cruz, Ray Medel and Joe Takhar. She is also survived by Sibling Days with sisters, brother, nieces and nephews.
