“I was a fellow teacher with Lynette in special education in the LUSD district. When I got my service dog from CCI back in 2009, Lynette called me and was excited about the prospect of her also possibly getting a dog. She loved working with Cowan in the classroom. I respected Lynette as an outstanding teacher and advocate for her students. She was passionate in her work. I was so saddened to hear of her passing and know that her spirit lives on in in her children.”
