He was predeceased by: his parents, Alda P. Sousa and Cesário D. Pinto; and his siblings, Antero Duarte Pinto, Dolores Joaquim, António Lameirão, Alexandre Lameirão, Agostinho Lameirão and Laurinda Lameirão.

He is survived by: his wife Dialete C. Pinto of Livingston; his daughters, Eldini (António) of Jesus and Eunice Pinto of Atwater; his siblings, Amilcar Duarte Pinto (Otilia) of Portugal, Dalila Duarte Pinto of Portugal, Maria Alcide Gonçalves (Fernando) of Portugal and Leonor P. Simões of Livingston; his grandchildren, Nalani Jesus, Kyle Jesus and Justin Strickland (Sharrisa); and his great grandchildren, Aubrie Strickland, Nathan Jefferson, Jakobi Strickland, Adelia Strickland and Ellianah Strickland.
