“Marty was a wonderful, kind person and gave freely of his time, talent and treasure to the Rotary Club of Livermore. He also started the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore that has over the years made a difference in our community supporting numerous projects for youth and community non-profits. Marty was an ardent animal lover and devoted to his dachshunds and parrot. Since my family also had dachunds, we had many conversations about our dogs and their special personalities. He will me missed.”

“Marty came into my life in 2000 when he lost Stretch, his standard long hair dachshund. A friend of mine from Texas had a litter of puppies out of Spirit, my dog who won his variety at Westminister Kennel Club. That puppy was to be Willie, Marty's faithful companion until his tragic death. Since then I arranged for 2 more standard long hair dachshunds to be his family...but he never got over Willie, pictured here on the back cover of the 2004 Dachshund Annual. We stayed in touch these past years”
