He was predeceased by: his wife Janetta Thompson Shumway. He is survived by: his parents, William Robert and Margaret Mary Shumway (Mendes) of Pacific Grove; his grandchildren, Daphne, Amelia, Jasper and Mickey Mouse; and his siblings, Bill Shumway (William) and Barbara Fenton.
