Peter Kyle Burke Obituary
Peter Kyle Burke, a nearly life-long resident of the Antelope Valley, died peacefully on October 6, 2021. Soon after his birth in 1953, Peter moved to Lancaster, CA, with his family. He attended and graduated from Park View School, Antelope Valley High School, Antelope Valley College, and UCLA (1977) with a BS degree in Mathematics. Peter became an Eagle Scout in 1967, and a Los Angeles County Lifeguard. Early in life he was an avid tennis player, and a life-long member of the AV Country Club. After his graduation from UCLA, he returned to Lancaster and worked in civil service at Edwards for the United States Air Force for 40 years. He retired in August 2018, with distinguished performance as the Deputy Director, 412th Electronic Warfare Group, 412th Test Wing, Air Force Test Center. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and his extraordinary memory of life and family details. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Phyllis (Fox) Burke; his sister, Barbara; his brothers, Patrick and Michael. He will be dearly missed by his cousins, co-workers, and friends.
