He was predeceased by: his significant other Virginia Sue (Ginger); his son John; and his grandson Leonard II. He is survived by: his children, Marty (CJ), Rosemary, Leonard (Sharon) and Patrick (Debby); his grandchildren, Tania Sue, Jennifer, Melissa, Justin, Christian, Donovan and Kayla; and his sister Helen. He is also survived by father to his children and grandchildren.
