He was predeceased by: his parents, Susanna Julianna Morgenthaler and Franz; his daughter Belinda; his brother Rudolph; and his cousins, Gerhard and Norbert.

He is survived by: his brother Rudolf; his wife Inge Pragal; his son Robert; his cousins, Paul (Robin), Mark (Gina), Mike (Sherri) and Jennifer; and also, Alida and Enny.
