He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Jeanette Shekleton (Hove) and Harris Gordon Hanson; his wife Donna Mae Hanson of Lancaster, CA; his children, Bradley Wayne Hanson (Raegan) of Annandale, VA and Kristi Lynn Waszak (Matthew) of Papillion, NE; his grandchildren, Rylee Grace Hanson, Kailey Joy Waszak, Maia Ellory Waszak and Brady Wayne Hanson; his brother Duane (Millie) of Norfolk, VA; his nephew Scott Hanson of Burnsville, MN; and his niece Amy Hanson of Virginia Beach, VA. He was also cherished by many cousins, two grandnieces and a grandnephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Gordon's memory to the American Heart Association.
