He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Steinmetz and Mildred Steinmetz (Cox). He is survived by: his children, David A. Steinmetz (Stephanie) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Christine M. Miller (Michael) of Adamstown, Steven L. Steinmetz (Sharon) of Huntersville, NC, Heidi L. Steinmetz of Wyomissing and Sandra L. Long (Brian) of Sinking Spring; and his brother Donald Steinmetz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David's memory to a local ASPCA.
