It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carlene Beatrice Uptigrove of Lancaster, California, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Leonard Furr, Sr. and Lela Beatrice Davis Furr; her husband James Clifton Uptigrove; her son Charley Eugene Uptigrove; her grandparents, John Wilbur and Hattie Belle Nix-Furr; and her brothers, Blondine Ree, Jr., Robert Furr and Carl Leonard Furr, Jr..

She is survived by: her brothers, Curtis Furr of Bakersfield, CA and Dale Furr (Lupe) of Bakersfield, CA; her sister-in-law Hazel Ree of Broken Arrow, OK; and her children, Carl Uptigrove (Paulette) of Booneville, AR, Clifton Uptigrove (Debra) of Bakersfield, CA, Charlene Mayes (Rick) of Lancaster, CA and Carol Hinton (Steven) of Lancaster, CA. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; as well as many friends.

There will be a come-and-go viewing Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 p. m. Covid-19 guidelines will be followed.
