He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Philip Bornhorst and Olivia M. Wagner Bornhorst. He is survived by: his sister Judith A. Massey of North Greenbush; and his nephews, Steven Massey (Jennifer) of North Greenbush, Glenn Massey (Robin) of North Greenbush and Jason Massey of North Greenbush. He is also survived by three great nieces and one great nephew.
