She was predeceased by: her parent Artie Miles Sipes; her husbands, Ken Hawkins of Seattle and Fred Pope of Moline, Illinois; her mother Mae Sipes (Lang) of Moline, Illinois; her siblings, Junior Miles Sipes (Olive June Mount) of Austin, Texas, Lucille Mary Evans (Howard Frank) and Arline Anna Betcher (Kenneth Otto) of Moline, Illinois; her cousins, Portia Annette Brierton (John) of Rushville, Illinois, Gladys Janet Taber (Amos) of Rushville, Illinois, Delores Jeanene "Dee" Crouse (Robert) of Rushville, Illinois and Sandra Jane Chockley (Richard) of Rushville, Illinois; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Pope (Jeffrey Lee) of Warren, Michigan..

She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Lee Pope (Nancy Rose) of Huntley, Illinois, JoAnn Adelia Woolwine (Samuel Clayton, Jr.) of Narrows, Virginia and Mary Jane Hawkins Ritch (Harold "Tony") of Palmdale, California; her grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Jenkins (Gary James) of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois and Samuel Clayton Woolwine, III; her niece Rozella M. Evans of Moline, Illinois; her cousins, Gwendolyn Marie "Gwennie" Root (George) of Marissa, Illinois and Evelyn Synneve Sebree (Weldon) of Tucson; and her friend Merle Bouchet of Palmdale, California.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
