He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Swicegood and Florence Swicegood; his former wife Twila Shipp; his children, Joseph Jr. (Carla), Linda (Les) and Ron (Cheri); his wife Barbara Quillen; and his stepdaughter Lori. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren.
