She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Coogan and Pauline Coogan; her husband Walter McEnerney; her daughters, Aimée McEnerney and Molly McEnerney; and her siblings, Paul Coogan, Kathleen Noel and Patricia Coogan.
Carol later went to work at UCLA, typing papers for nuclear scientists, and then at the charitable Meals For Millions Foundation, where she met Walter McEnerney, an engineer working to build systems to prevent starvation all over the world.
