He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Linda; his husband Michael Garvey; his grandchildren, Brendan, Kevin and Katherine; his great grandchildren, Adam and Edie; and his son David. He was also cherished by his wife Esther lived at the Hillcrest Retirement Community, where they were able to reconnect with many relatives, college friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Esther Wirth Wickert Scholarship at the University of La Verne.
