He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ota; his children, Doug Ota (Peggy) and Karin Langford (Michael); his granddaughters, Taylor Gilles (Jordan) and Kendall Nguyen (Justin); and his sisters, Yoshiko Nakagawa and Naomi Hamada (Tak). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
