MARIO PRECIADO Obituary

Mario Preciado
October 20, 1965- July 13, 2021

Mario passed away suddenly at home in La Mesa, CA. at the age of 55.

Mario was predeceased by his father Juan D. Preciado in 2018. Mario is survived by his loving mother, Natalie Tripes; Step-father, Mitch Tripes; Sisters, Caprice Preciado and Vania Taylor; Brother in-law, Dennis Taylor; Niece, Mia Taylor; Uncle and Aunt, Salvador and Martha Contreras as well as many loving cousins.

Mario was married to Karla Morrell from 2006 to 2018. While separated they maintained a close friendship, and in honor and love raised their beautiful daughters Jazlyn Bleu (11) and Kennedy Elaine (4) together. Mario’s love for his daughters was immense. He did everything with them and for them. He could often be found strolling at the zoo, in Balboa Park, the Museum’s or pushing them on swings in the park at Liberty Station. He knew how to make them laugh and told them many stories about their family.

Mario was born and raised in San Diego although he did live in Juneau, Alaska from 1983-1986. He cherished his time in Alaska and spoke of it often.

Mario will always be remembered for his big heart, his kind and generous spirit, his sense of humor and for being the best hands on dad. He enjoyed playing golf, watching hockey and creating games and activities for his daughters. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 8th 2021 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Featheringill Mortuary (6322 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, California 92115).
