She is survived by: her husband James Bastien (Jim); her parents, Herbert Smisor and Gladys; her daughters, Lisa Bastien Hanss (Basil) and Lori Bastien Vickers (Eric); and her grandchildren, Katie Hanss, Julie Hanss, Abby Vickers and Riley Vickers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: UCSD Foundation for the Jane Bastien ADRC Fund (F-2352) to benefit the Shiley-Marcos.
