It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irving Albert Goldfarb of La Jolla, California, born in New York, New York, who passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Koffler Goldfarb; his parents, Morris Goldfarb and Tessie Goldfarb (Kalb); and his brother Eddie Goldfarb. He is survived by: his sons, Mark Goldfarb (Beth Levine) and Jerry Gold (Ken Knara); his grandchildren, Brittney (Aaron Noparstak), Eliot Goldfarb (Francesca Shlain), Evan and Emily Gold; and his great grandchildren, Danielle and Olivia Noparstak. He is also survived by his sons, their partners, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irv was an avid tennis player right up until age 96 when the pandemic forced the closure of the public courts in La Jolla.
