She was predeceased by: her husband Louis B. Fleming. She is survived by: her parents, Earl Mendum of La Cañada, CA and Helen May Woodrow Tarr of La Cañada, CA; her siblings, Earl and Helen; her children, Mary Kowalski (Jeff) of Havertown, PA, Leni Fleming of Pasadena, Sarah Fleming of Petaluma and Louis Fleming Jr (Laura); and her sister-in-law Zemula Fleming. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Jean's family suggests a donation to Families Forward Learning Center, 980 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, CA 91103 or the Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Ave., Montgomery, AL 36104.
