He was predeceased by: his wife Martina M. Casillas; and his siblings, Pablo Casillas, Maria Isabel Funes of Jesus Casillas and Elvira Casillas. He is survived by: his children, Salvador Casillas, Jr., Edwardso Casillas, Martin Casillas, Patricia Casillas and Consuelo Hernandez; and his sisters, Guadalupe Acosta, Esther Hernandez, Maria Cruz Jinojosa and Martha Casillas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
