He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Carter and Nancy Carter. He is survived by: his wife Glenda J. Carter; his sisters, Arlene and Barbara; his brother-in-law Bobby Linton; his daughters, Shannon and Stephanie; and his son-in-law David. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
