He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Martinez of Porterville; his wife Juana Flores of Visalia; his siblings, Pete, David, Amalia, Amelia, Adela and Virginia; his children, Ruben Leija Jr., Rita Leija and Spence Leija; his grandchildren, Debbie Hernandez (Rene) and Michael Flores; his niece Juana; and also Sandy Nevarez. He is also survived by his sister-n-laws and brother-in-laws.
