He is survived by: his wife Gayle Aiko; his children, Roy Masato Hayashi (Olivia Hayashi), Eric Hideo Hayashi (Gwen Muranaka) and Melanie Tomiko Hayashi-Smith (Benjamin Smith); his grandchildren, Brent Michael, Alyssa Nicole, Jenna Grace Smith, Spencer Shin and Sadie Aiko Hayashi; his siblings, Hideo Hayashi (Karen) of Oregon, Wakaye Hara of San Diego and Minoru Hayashi (Peggy) of Alaska; and his brother-in-law Leroy Kawai (Joyce). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
